IP65 (dust and water protected)

Application areas include loud, dusty production environments such as those found in heavy goods industries, chemical plants, mills and similar facilities. It enables wireless communication across company premises, providing flexible mobility and helping to improve productivity and safety in emergency situations.

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony (DECT) is an ideal wireless solution for this environment, offering a secure, voice-optimised network with its own dedicated frequency range. Interference from other radio services is therefore eliminated or minimised.
Compared with WiFi networks, DECT is simpler, faster, more predictable and easier to scale.


The Avaya DECT 3745/3749 wireless handsets are specially designed for harsh production environments.
These shock- and scratch-resistant phones with backlit keypads, a large display, liquid and dust protection give users quick access to telephony functions such as caller identification, hold, conferencing, messaging and many other features in conjunction with Avaya Aura® and Avaya IP Office™.

Integrated hands-free operation, headset compatibility and text messaging keep employees in widely distributed production sites in contact. Requesting assistance via the programmable function key and, optionally, location capability via the base station are important features that support operational safety.

Communication takes place via a dedicated, encrypted wireless network. The batteries support up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 90 hours of standby time (10/80 hours for the 3749).
The built-in man-down sensor with alarm functions for immobility and horizontal body position can be integrated into safety systems that meet high occupational safety requirements for lone workplaces, e.g. in correctional facilities, psychiatric institutions and similar environments.
