The Avaya DECT 3740 wireless handset is specially designed for harsh production environments. These shock- and scratch-resistant phones, with backlit keypads, a large display and protection against liquids and dust, enable users to access telephone functions quickly, such as caller identification, hold, conference calling and messaging, as well as many other functions in conjunction with Avaya Communication Manager, IP Office, Integral Enterprise and Integral 5.

Integrated hands-free functionality, headset compatibility and text messaging keep employees at widely distributed production sites in contact. Communication takes place via a dedicated, encrypted wireless network. The batteries support up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours of standby time.

The built-in man-down sensor with alarm functions for immobility and horizontal body position can be integrated into safety systems that have stringent occupational safety requirements for lone-working locations, e.g. in correctional facilities, psychiatric institutions, etc.
